Former Redhill staff Charu Srivastava, Joel Lah and Marion Ang have teamed up to launch a strategic communications consultancy called TriOn & Co. The consultancy offers tailored communications services and special consultancy projects that are ideal in today's macroeconomic climate.

"We offer a full suite of communications services including reputation management, stakeholder relations, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) communications, B2B event communications, end-to-end crisis management (preparedness, response and recovery) and internal communications," Srivastava said in a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.

She added that the consultancy will also engage business restructuring communications for organisations undergoing retrenchment or leadership changes, as well as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) audit and strategy.

The consultancy, which has a regional focus, was created due to an increasing need for strategic communications that meets the real needs of organisations and individuals, and the team sets itself apart with the excellent experience all three members of the team bring to the company.

Srivastava in particular has 14 years in the industry having worked at companies such as Redhill where she was deputy managing director, BCW APAC where she was associate director and Litmus PR where she was a senior consultant.

"My 14-year career has been full of learning and experiences, both good and bad. I am a strong believer that while it is good to know what works, it is equally important to know what not to do and what does not work. I bring this belief to TriOn & Co where I combine all the good learnings, best practices and experiences to create intentional and impactful work for clients to deliver real results," she said.

Srivastava, who takes on the role of chief strategy officer and corporate affairs lead, added that she has always believed that one person cannot know it all or do it all, and that it is important to work with people who fill the gaps you have while amplifying your strengths."

Lah, Ang and I are just that - we are pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that fit together as we combine our strengths and collectively keep away the bad."

Lah brings to the team about 11 years of experience working in massive companies such as Redhill, Rice Communications, Wachsman and more. He will take on the role of fintech lead and chief research officer. Ang on the other hand will take on the roles of ESG and government lead as well as chief people officer. She brings to the team eight years of experience across Redhill, BCW Global, Burson-Marsteller and more.

"I've been vocal about making a change in the industry - be it through diversity and inclusion, mental health and workplace wellness advocacy or through mentoring the immense talent in our industry," said Srivastava. "TriOn & Co is my way of walking the talk on these matters and more, with a clear focus on creating an environment where my partners and I, and our future team, get to do what we love and enjoy the most - strategic communications work that is tailored to create maximum impact," she concluded.

Currently, the team is made up of its three founders and the team is expected to grow in tandem with the business.
