Social service agency MINDS has picked integrated communications consultancy Ruder Finn to handle its communications strategy moving forward. The two-year retainer relationship, with the option of renewal for an additional one year, will focus on amplifying MINDS’ purpose within the community and strengthening the organisation’s leadership, the agency said in a statement.
MINDS is one of the oldest and largest charities in Singapore that is dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities. It selected Ruder Finn based on the agency’s demonstrated expertise in crafting compelling narratives and implementing effective communication strategies that focus on social causes and education campaigns, it said.
The partnership will encompass both traditional public relations and digital marketing services.

"We are honoured to be entrusted with this significant responsibility. Our team is eager to collaborate closely with MINDS to amplify their vital mission and drive positive change for individuals with intellectual disabilities within the community," said Brian Witte, general manager of Ruder Finn Singapore.
“Ruder Finn has shown genuine passion and commitment to our cause, and we’re excited to embark on our journey with them to support the intellectual disability community and advocate for greater social inclusion in Singapore. With their track record in marketing and communication, we’re confident that we can achieve great strides together," added Sophia Lim, deputy director of strategic communications and engagement at MINDS Singapore.
The news comes shortly after Ruder Finn acquired Pandan Social, a digital marketing agency based in Malaysia. This strategic move is aimed at enhancing Ruder Finn’s commitment to strengthen its leadership position in the digital marketing landscape, it said in a statement.
“We are excited to become part of the dynamic and rapidly expanding Ruder Finn team,” said Daniel Woodroof, co-founder of Pandan Social at the time. He went on to add that the partnership will empower Pandan Social to amplify its expertise and deliver even more impactful digital marketing solutions to its clients.
