Snoop Dogg named strategic advisor for SG-based sneaker marketplace Novelship

Singapore-based sneaker marketplace Novelship has announced a new partnership with American rapper-actor Snoop Dogg to provide consumers in its Southeast Asian markets with greater access to cult sneaker brands and to expand its range of collectibles.

Novelship took to Instagram to announce the collaboration on June 28, with the caption: “We’ve kept you guessing, and we can now reveal that Snoop Dogg has joined Novelship as strategic advisor.”

“The sneaker scene in Southeast Asia is booming. It’s evolving into a subculture, and Novelship is at the forefront, making exclusive collections accessible to everyone. I’m thrilled to see how we can bring the most diverse and authentic styles to Asia,” Snoop Dogg said.

According to media reports, Novelship will be the first brand from the Southeast Asia region that Snoop Dogg will be collaborating with.

Through this collaboration, Novelship aims to create greater access to the latest footwear trends and make certain that its customers in Southeast Asia stay ahead of the current sneaker trends.

To commemorate the launch of the collaboration, the sneaker marketplace is offering SG$20 discount off any shoe available from their collection from 28 June to 14 July. Only new buyers from Singapore, Malaysia Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan who spend a minimum of SG$200 dollars are eligible for the discount. 

The news comes shorrtly after automobile brand Porsche and PUMA partnered up to release a batch of limited-edition sneakers, part of a kaleidoscope collection.

The unique partnership, bringing together major brands from such varied industries, is part of ’Dreams in Colours’, a celebration of three decades of enduring Porsche passion in Thailand.  

The kaleidoscopic sneaker collection has been designed to complement the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS part of an exclusive collection made to honour the vibrant Kingdom of Thailand. The sports car was made available in seven different colours, each representing the colour of the day in Thai culture.
