Publicis Groupe has enlisted American rapper Snoop Dogg to help celebrate it taking over British rival WPP as the world's largest ad group in 2024.

In a video, titled "The Wishzels 2025", Snoop Dogg is seen giving the company's yearly wishes where he thanked the employees for their hard work, emphasised on new business wins and the agency's agency of the year award at Cannes. "Hold up, confused? Asking yourself why moi, Snoop Dogg is doing the wishes?" the rapper said before being joined by Arthur Sadoun, chairman and chief executive of Publicis.

Sadoun then comes on screen and said how "Monsieur Snoop" took over Paris during the 2024 Olympics as the special correspondent for U.S. network NBC. He explained that he had asked Snoop Dogg to help "our little French holding company, Publicis, get ready for 2025."

"What's Publicis holding? I don't know but what I do know is that Americans, Brits and French have been competing to to see which holding company is the top dog and this year, Publicis has overtaken them all. Les numeros one," said Snoop Dogg.

The video later sees Sadoun putting on a black hoodie with the Publicis logo on it, except the iconic lion has been redesigned to a dog. The video wraps up with Sadoun wishing employees a happy new year and thanking them for their Olympic effort this year. The lights dim and neon lights appear in the backdrop, while Sadoun and Snoop Dogg dance around in celebration.

Publicis has seen massive growth, throughout the year. Earlier in July this year, it acquired influencer marketing platform Influential.

This comes as influencer marketing is revolutionising the media and advertising industry and has become a ubiquitous growth driver for brands due to the channel’s unique ability to meaningfully connect with their customers.

Meanwhile, in January this year, Publicis Groupe Singapore acquired integrated communications agency AKA Asia. The acquisition marks a significant step in expanding and diversifying Publicis Groupe's capabilities in the Southeast Asian market. AKA Asia will bolster the Groupe's strategic communications, PR and influence offering in the region.
