Singapore River One (SRO) has reappointed Asia PR Werkz as its public relations agency for its upcoming events – Singapore River Festival 2020 (SRF2020) and Singapore River Signatures 2020 (SR Signatures 2020) for the third consecutive year.
These events will be happening through the months of August and October. The reappointment builds on the agency’s established partnership with SRO since 2017. According to SRO, through the agency’s efforts, the events in the past few years have been a success in driving more awareness and showcasing the F&B businesses and activates along the river.
With a mission of making Singapore River a destination of choice for businesses and visitors, Asia PR Werkz will continue to provide strategic counsel on the branding and marketing strategies and to manage integrated media communications for the upcoming events. According to SRO, the agency’s understanding of bringing more recognition to the sights and food establishments along the river makes the agency a strategic communications partner.
"Outstanding coverage was also garnered across mainstream and online media outlets. The events at SRF also saw year on year increase in visitors participation," the organisation said.
Meanwhile, Julie Chiang, director at Asia PR Werkz who leads the account, said the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a big toll on the economy, especially for sectors such as F&B, hospitality and tourism.
"Whilst we do not know for sure when the situation will ease, we are working closely with the SRO team to put some together some exciting plans for Singapore River Festival and Singapore River Signatures. If the events can be held later this year, we hope that we would have emerged ready and stronger to pull back the crowds and visitors,” she added.
Most recently, Asia PR Werkz was appointed by Korean electronics company LG Electronics as its public relations agency for Singapore. Starting March 2020, the appointment is for a period of one year with an option to extend another year. The agency will be responsible for handling all media relations across its business units which comprises of Home Appliances and Air Solutions, Home Entertainment and Information Technology, for both B2C and B2B media. Asia PR Werkz will also be providing strategic communications counsel and drive publicity for its campaigns and product launches.
Asia PR Werkz started 2020 with its expansion into Indonesia. According to the agency, this marks its first office overseas in its 24 years of presence in Singapore. The agency also touts Indonesia's media landscape as "vibrant against the backdrop of disruptive technologies and innovation". The expansion into Indonesia was led by director Anu Gupta, and the team currently has an employee based there.
