Singapore's National Council Against Drug Abuse (NCADA) has launched a hunt for a new public relations agency, according to tender documents seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE. The appointment will be for a period of 24 months with the option to extend for an additional 12 months.
It is looking for an agency that is able to support NCADA in its “business-as-usual” communication plans, as well as demonstrate readiness to be activated for crisis or issue management.

NCADA’s communication objectives include developing key stakeholders’ appreciation of the drug situation, as well as grow awareness of relevance for preventive drug education and the anti-drug mission in Singapore.
It is also looking for an agency to help amplify stories or evidence-based insights that build a shared understanding on the harms of drug abuse and garner public support and advocacy for the drug-free cause in Singapore.
Finally, the chosen agency will need to help generate meaningful conversations to build common ground on the drug issue within and across different target audience segments.
The chosen agency will also need to provide a full range of PR services that includes media pitching and media relations to meet NCADA’s communication objectives, media event management and crisis communications.
The agency will also be required to secure and manage suitable media partnerships with online media outlets and key opinion leaders to supplement earned efforts.
The scope of media efforts would primarily focus on NCADA’s primary target audience segments and stakeholders, namely parents and the general youth population.
The agency will be required to engage spokespersons and media profiles, both from within NCADA and from community stakeholders and partners.
The submissions will close on 16 September, according to GeBiz.
