Online cashback portal ShopBack has promoted Otilia Chan (pictured) to head of marketing for Hong Kong, effective from 1 May 2024.
In this newly created role, Chan manages a team of seven across ShopBack’s online cashback marketing in Hong Kong. She reports to Arthur Wan, general manager of ShopBack Hong Kong and Taiwan.
She is also responsible for all aspects of marketing from customer acquisition, growth, and campaigns. As part of the ShopBack Hong Kong leadership team, Chan will also work closely with local teams and regional stakeholders to achieve aspirational goals.
Prior to her new role, Chan had served as the country marketing lead for ShopBack Hong Kong since October 2022. She was one of the founding team members of the launch in Hong Kong. She was tasked to oversee overall branding, growth marketing, performance marketing, campaign planning, customer relationship management (CRM), design excellence, and marketing partnership. In addition, she was responsible for leading user acquisition, retention, and driving revenue growth for the brand in the market.
Before joining ShopBack, Chan helmed the role of associate marketing director at Ant Group Hong Kong.
“I am truly inspired by the vision of our co-founders and general managers, Henry Chan, Joel Leong, Josephine Chow and Wan of driving ShopBack as the world's most rewarding way to shop. Stepping up head of marketing, I hope I can also inspire everyone in Hong Kong to use our platform and enjoy how easy it can be to earn cashback while they shop online at their fingertips,” Chan said.
Don’t miss: ShopBack educates consumers on cashback earnings with new campaign
Back in November last year, ShopBack launched a branding campaign that aims to build credibility and awareness of the brand, so as to increase the conversion in town with online and offline exposure.
With the tagline “ShopBack Before You Shop” (Shopping前 ShopBack咗先), the idea of the campaign came from the brand's mission to educate the mass public on how to use and earn cashback and debunk the misconceptions about how ShopBack actually works.
