Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has launched a new campaign "Celebrate the Community" starring actress Myolie Wu.

The campaign celebrates the communal spirit and invites guests to reconnect and share experiences, reinforcing the brand's commitment to be "Where the world comes together". To mark the launch of the campaign, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has created a video which is filmed at the newly opened Sheraton Mianyang in China. The video captures the moments of connection and shared experiences with travellers and guests.

The hotel added that in the past 18 months, the pandemic has created the need for social distancing and people are disconnected more than ever. To lift the community spirit, Sheraton invites travellers and locals to celebrate the return of human interactions and create meaningful connections.

"As the most global brand within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, Sheraton has always stood for the community, and played a special role in serving and connecting people around the world," said Jennie Toh, vice president, brand marketing and brand management, Asia Pacific, Marriott International.

"The pandemic lockdowns have created an increased awareness and appreciation of the importance of social interactions in people's lives. With the 'Celebrate the Community' campaign, we hope to remind people of the power of collective and that we are better together," she added.

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts' parent company Marriott International has been rolling out campaigns across markets in APAC. In January, it launched the programme "Good Travel with Marriott Bonvoy" that included 15 Marriott International hotels offering curated purpose-driven experiences that focus on three distinct pillars: environmental protection, which aims to support the resiliency of the natural environment due to environmental degradation, pollution and climate change; community engagement, aiming at creating a positive impact in the communities where Marriott International properties operate through cultural education or volunteerism; and marine conservation, which aims to restore and preserve marine ecosystems and species.

In Hong Kong, Sheraton Tung Chung is one of the participating hotels as its programme "Bee-Together" offers guests the experience of what it’s like to be a beekeeper and learn about the importance of bees to biodiversity and their crucial role in maintaining ecological balance in collaboration with Mui Wo Lychee Hill Holiday Farm.
