Singapore ride-hailing service TADA has entered Thailand, challenging Grab, Lineman, Robinhood and Bolt.

As part of its promotions accompanying the expansion, TADA will reportedly be offering rides at a 30% discount in Bangkok for Singapore users of the app, said media reports.

The offer can reportedly be redeemed with the promo code "SGBKK" and will end on 30 June 2024.

This is the company's fourth market launch following successful launches in Singapore, Cambodia and Vietnam.

TADA will first launch in Bangkok, with immediate plans to extend to Nonthaburi, Prathum Thani and Samut Prakan, said media reports. It reportedly has plans to set up an e-bike production facility in Thailand by year-end too.

"Proud to announce the official launch of TADA in Bangkok, Thailand. Our unwavering commitment to providing seamless and safe transportation solutions is now extended to the bustling city. Join us as we embark on our journey to transform the ride-hailing landscape in Thailand," TADA said in a statement on LinkedIn.

It added in an X statement, "With a strong presence in Singapore and Cambodia, serving tens of thousands daily, we're ready to tackle this massive market of around 70 million people."

This news comes after the ride-hailing service partnered with foodpanda to introduce new user benefits for customers in Asia, starting with Singapore and Cambodia.

As part of the partnership, both foodpanda and TADA users can enjoy savings, discounted fares and loyalty programme subscriptions across both quick-commerce and ride-platforms.

With this partnership, up to 30,000 TADA users in Singapore can opt in to receive a complimentary pandapro subscription which gives them easy access and cost savings to on-demand deliveries.

Subsequently, up to 30,000 pandapro subscribers in Singapore will automatically receive discount vouchers in their TADA accounts which can be used for commuting to their favourite restaurants or anywhere else in the city. In addition, corporate customers of either foodpanda or TADA in Singapore can also utilise the combined food delivery and ride-hailing benefits through joint corporate bundles.
