Sandpiper Communications appoints new account director

Sandpiper Communications has appointed Suri Cheng as its account director.
As part of the agency’s plan to expand in China, from its base in Shanghai, Cheng will work closely with teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sydney, and be responsible for leading local and regional client accounts and driving new business efforts for the China market. Cheng will initially focus on financial and professional services and technology, as well as crisis and issues communications.

Prior to joining Sandpiper Communications, Cheng worked for Edelman, Ogilvy, and WE Communications. Her clients included China Construction Bank, Tencent, HSBC, Fidelity International, and Societe Generale Group, to name a few.
