Samsung has taken over the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) MRT station. In collaboration with MRT Corp, the takeover sees the MRT station renamed to 'TRX Samsung Galaxy Station'.

The TRX Samsung Galaxy Station also features ads for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series throughout the station. Ads can be seen along the hallways, the escalators and lift doors of the stations, as well as within train cabins amongst many others.

The revamped MRT station reportedly has kiosks for commuters to touch and feel the flagship phones. In addition, Samsung members passing through TRX Samsung Galaxy station can reportedly redeem a RM5 Touch 'N Go eWallet voucher from the Samsung Experience store located in The Exchange mall, say media reports

Denny Kim, president of Samsung Malaysia reportedly said that the collaboration represents the brand's and MRT Corp's shared vision for a more connected future that is aimed at enhancing the convenience and accessibility for everyone.

"Strategically nestled in Kuala Lumpur's bustling city centre, this station is not just a hub—it's an experience," MRT Corp wrote in a statement on Facebook.

"Samsung Galaxy's eye-catching visuals and super engaging ads now light up the station, giving it a fresh, lively feel that matches the beat of city life."

The TRX Samsung Galaxy station is the only interchange hub for MRT Kajang and Putrajaya Lines, seeing a whopping 220,000 commuters passing through its halls each day, according to media reports.

The station takeover comes as Samsung has been localising campaigns surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung Galaxy AI as of late.

Last week, Samsung Singapore rolled out a digital campaign featuring three comedic short films to bring to life its Galaxy AI offerings for everyday users.

The shorts feature local artists Jack Neo, Mark Lee and Henry Thia and see the three artistes leveraging different functions of Galaxy AI to break the boundaries of communication and creation. To do that, they use live translate, photo assist and transcript assist in a light-hearted tone that is aimed to appeal Singaporeans who are familiar with the trio's brand of humour.
