Ruder Finn and RFI unveil new DEI practice to enhance business growth in APAC

Integrated communications consultancy Ruder Finn Asia (RFA) and its digital marketing subsidiary Ruder Finn Interactive (RFI) have partnered up to launch a new diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practice to help accelerate business growth for organisations in APAC.

This move is a response to the growing demand for DEI communication as a recent survey conducted by Korn Ferry in the APAC region has brought to light that although 80% of organisations have ramped up their efforts to improve DEI, 43% of the respondents still consider meeting consumer demands on DEI a significant challenge.

The Ruder Finn Diversity Communications Practice is in alignment with the company's recognition of the importance of DEI as well as in response to the broader societal shifts towards more inclusive practices, according to Elan Shou, CEO of Ruder Finn Asia-Pacific.

RFA cited a recent survey conducted by Korn Ferry in the APAC region, which stated that although 80% of organisations have ramped up their efforts to improve DEI, 43% of the respondents still consider meeting consumer demands on DEI a significant challenge.

The practice aims to tap into communications experts around the world, who are experienced in developing DEI strategies with a wide variety of clients, including the Singapore Ministry of Manpower, the Women’s Foundation and the upcoming Gay Games in Hong Kong. According to the release, Ruder Finn has a proven track record in crisis consulting, management and training, as well as strong connections with corporate DEI leads across Asia, senior in-house communicators, and C-suite executives.

Commenting on the new practice, Elan Shou, CEO of Ruder Finn Asia-Pacific, said: "For businesses aiming to develop DEI strategies, they must focus on more than just cultural capital. Today's consumers perceive brands as the voice of their employees and support those brands that resonate with their values. This can be a daunting prospect for businesses, which is where our team of seasoned experts comes in to ease the journey."

"At Ruder Finn, we understand that DEI is not a one-size-fits-all approach. We focus on personalised strategies tailored to the organisation's unique needs, which are sustainable in the long run," she added.
