Fintech company Revolut has partnered with Visa to launch an Out Of Home (OOH) campaign across Singapore to raise awareness of its recently launched Instant Card Transfers service.

Through Instant Card Transfers, Revolut’s Singapore customers will be able to send money in real-time to eligible Mastercard and Visa cardholders in over 80 countries. The service uses Mastercard Send and Visa Direct platforms that require a customer’s name and 16-digit card number.

The nationwide OOH campaign with Visa spans Digital OOH and Programmatic OOH while targeting millennial working adults and expats, according to a spokesperson from the brand when MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reached out. The campaign will run until 4 October 2023.

“OOH advertising allows our brand to become part of a landscape, creating brand awareness and keeping our brand top of mind for consumers,” said a spokesperson from the brand.

“With OOH advertising, the Revolut brand is placed right where consumers work, shop, and socialise, playing a pivotal role in the consumer's path to purchase,” they added.

The campaign will also analyse the increase in usage and transaction volume of Instant Card Transfers to track its ROI.

Revolut’s Instant Card Transfers also aims to respond to the increasing demand for remittance services which is projected to reach US$12.53 billion by 2030, according to a statement by the brand. Through the service, funds will be transferred within minutes compared to traditional wire banking methods which can take up to five days.

“The appetite for quicker and more accessible remittance payments continues to grow as remitters in Singapore look for better ways to send money to their families overseas,” said Deepan Dagur, head of Visa Direct, Asia Pacific.

To make an Instant Card Transfer, Revolut users should ensure they have the latest version of the app, create a new transfer, select the card recipient and enter their card details before tapping send.

‘We are always striving towards making money simple for our customers. Through this instant, convenient and most importantly, secure method of remitting money, we are enabling our customers to send money to their loved ones whenever they wish to,” added Raymond Ng, chief executive officer at Revolut Singapore.

Visa has focused its efforts on ensuring payments remain convenient for its consumers as delivery platform foodpanda recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Visa to bring innovative payment solutions and cost-saving perks to its consumers and merchants across Asia.

With this MOU, foodpanda intends to leverage on Visa’s proficiency in its efforts to improve operational procedures such as simplifying payment methods for more seamless payments as well as upgrading online-to-offline payment platforms.
