Restaurant chain Secret Recipe introduces new modern design, looks to revamp 20 outlets

Malaysian halal-certified chain restaurant, Secret Recipe, has introduced a new design for its outlets, along with the launch of its 350th outlet. The new design will be featuring a contemporary and vibrant look, according to The Malaysian Reserve.  “We decided to introduce a new design to keep up with the trends and the younger generation. We will continue to renew (our outlets) every five years to make sure they look good for our customers,” said Secret Recipe's managing director, Patrick Sim, in a press conference, quoted on news outlet. 

Additionally, Sim said he plans to renovate about 20 outlets by the end of 2023.

Aside from the new look, the chain restaurant also have plans to continues its expansion up to 400 outlets in Malaysia by the end of 2025. There will be around 20 outlets are will be launched this year. Secret Recipe's market includes Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Maldives and Bangladesh. Furthermore, Secret Recipe is commemorating the launch of its 350th outlet by giving out a limited-edition cupcake to the first 350 users who register as members on the Secret Recipe MY app, starting 31 January 2023. 

Previously, Secret Recipe appointed Malaysian actress, Mira Filzah, as its brand ambassador. A household name in Malaysia, the actress is known for her roles in Eksperimen Cinta and Cinta Si Wedding Planner. In addition to acting, Mira also owns her beauty line, Mora Essential and her own branded scarf collection, MF Shawls. She currently has over 7.3 million followers on her social media platforms.
