National postal and parcel service provider Pos Malaysia has partnered once again with Penang-based tech accessories company Galado to release a new limited-edition phone case collection. The collaboration is intended to feature Pos Malaysia’s brand through creative design elements.

The 2024 collection introduces six designs that pay homage to Pos Malaysia's legacy. Three designs are entirely new, while the remaining three are updated versions of previous popular designs. The designs include motifs featuring iconic post boxes and the fictional character Abang Pos, allowing customers to personalise their cases with personal photos. The Pos Malaysia x Galado phone cases are available for purchase on Galado's website and Instagram account.

In addition to phone cases, the collection offers accessories such as an Iconic Post Box MagSafe Phone Grip, a Pos Malaysia pop art phone charm, and a Pos Malaysia crossbody phone strap. These cases are designed using ImpactPro Technology for drop protection and are compatible with various devices, including iPhone 12 to 16 series and Samsung models from the S22 to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 series.

Pos Malaysia said the collaboration demonstrates their commitment to fostering local innovation, celebrating Malaysia’s postal heritage. The initiative is also seen as a platform to support homegrown talent and acknowledge local artistry, positioning the collection as a blend of pride, creative expression, and cultural narrative within Malaysia's postal service history.

In November this year, Pos Malaysia unveiled a new interactive page with a gamification feature in a move to showcase itself as more than just a post office.

The page, titled "Pos Malaysia World", sees an interactive world run by Pos Malaysia with a giant red post box, a spiral building with delivery parcels, a paper plane, a humongous takeaway cup and more. Specific items throughout the world will feature a clickable red pin which reveals Pos Malaysia's various services when clicked.  For example, if users were to click on the giant green battery, a letter will pop up on the screen to reveal the brand's commitment to sustainability.

In conversation with A+M, Pos Malaysia said the objective of the interactive page is to allow users to find out more about its products and services in a fun, playful manner. It also aims to encourage users to interact with the different aspects of the brand's offerings, help users discover services they might not have been aware of previously such as international shipping, e-commerce solutions or convenience stores.
