The Middle East has always been one of PLDT Global Corporation’s most important markets, with around 2.2 million migrant Filipinos in the region. That is why PLDT Global, the international arm of the Philippines’ largest fully integrated telco network company PLDT Inc., together with Sandbox, Emirates Loves Philippines, Dubai Police, and other partners made the Philippine Independence Day weekend celebration in the United Arab Emirates more special for overseas Filipinos.
On June 12, overseas Filipino workers (OFW) in the area visited the PLDT Global booth at the Dubai World Trade Center and availed of exclusive offers. An estimated 50,000 attendees also enjoyed a concert with Filipino talents, including film and drama actor, singer, and producer Piolo Pascual in the evening.
“This is our way of helping our Filipino countrymen in Dubai and in its neighboring Emirates feel closer to home and fuel the love for country even if they are living and working abroad. Through our activities, platforms, and services, we hope to support the digital needs of our individual and corporate customers,” said Albert V. Villa-Real, president and CEO of PLDT Global
