PHD China secures Audi account in the country

PHD China has been awarded the media business from Audi.
By leveraging PHD's proprietary platforms Omni & Omni Studio, the 20-month appointment sees the Omnicom-owned agency take on complete media duties, including planning and buying, for Audi. In December 2020, the agency won the SAIC Volkswagen business, another auto brand under the SAIC umbrella.
According to the agency, the account was awarded to PHD China without a pitch, meaning that this is "a move that underscores SAIC Volkswagen’s trust in the agency and testament to PHD China’s performance since taking on the Volkswagen and Skoda media businesses last December."
“Here at PHD China, not only do we leverage the most advanced and strategic planning platforms and tools, but we also have an outstanding calibre of talent in the auto and luxury category to service the account," said Joey Zhao, CEO of PHD China.
The appointment is effective immediately while the business is serviced out of PHD's office in Shanghai.
"Additionally, there is immense synergy between the Audi and PHD brands, especially when innovation and creativity are woven into our DNA and in everything we do. We are excited with this partnership and remain fully committed to helping SAIC Audi unlock growth opportunities through data-driven insights and value-focused investment for Audi in China," Zhao added.
