End-to-end commerce enablement company AnyMind Group has been appointed by international business and consumer electronics manufacturer, Panasonic to be one of its e-distributors in Malaysia.

AnyMind Group will be collaborating with direct-to-consumer e-commerce store, Inspired Lifestyle Japan, which introduces Japanese products to consumers in Malaysia. As a result, Panasonic’s collection of male grooming products will be accessible to consumers in Malaysia through the Inspired Japan website, and more Panasonic products such as water purifiers and female beauty products will be available on the website.

“We are delighted to bring our technologies and experiences to consumers in Malaysia through AnyMind’s e-commerce store, Inspired Lifestyle Japan, empowered by their innovative marketing solutions,” said Masaki Morikawa, general manager of CX digital marketing and EC at Panasonic Appliances Marketing Asia Pacific.

Inspired Lifestyle Japan will utilise AnyMind Group’s platforms to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of store and marketing operations. AnyX will be implemented for e-commerce store management and analytics, AnyTag for influencer marketing and conversion-based marketing via influencers, and AnyDigital for digital marketing.

These will be implemented alongside consultation support to aid Panasonic in amplifying the value of AnyMind Group’s technology.

“We’re equipping Panasonic with the necessary technological infrastructure to begin their journey towards the next generation of commerce, where business is done through a single platform, is borderless and open, and data can be utilised and maximized freely across business functions, opening up new levels of growth,” said Otohiko Kozutsumi, chief commercial officer and co-founder of AnyMind Group

AnyMind Group provides two broad offerings to brands and business, brand commerce and Partner Growth. Brand commerce equips businesses with platforms for manufacturing, e-commerce enablement, marketing and logistics, while partner growth provides web and mobile app publishers along with influencers and content creators with platforms for monetisation and optimisation. It has also established operations in 13 markets including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

The news comes shortly after Panasonic Manufacturing MY announced the shut down of majority of its operations in Malaysia. This was confirmed by CFM Holdings, its cleanroom equipment supplier in a statement.

As seen in a filing by CFM Holdings Group, of which Panasonic Manufacturing is a key customer, the group stated that it had not received any notification from the latter on the cessation of its operations in Malaysia.

Additionally, the group clarified that it will be in communication with Panasonic Manufacturing to assess the impact of the closure of its plants on the group’s financial performance and position for the financial year.

"The group will make further announcements on any material developments in relation to the aforesaid matters as and when appropriate," it stated.
