Have you spotted OREO's new Pokémon-themed cookies?

Mondelēz International’s cookie brand OREO has teamed up with The Pokémon Company to release special edition cookies and Pokémon photocards that feature the latter’s charming creatures.

The collection features embossed images of 16 Pokémon such as Pikachu, Charmander, Rowlet and Jigglypuff to name a few on cookies that come in vanilla and chocolate strawberry flavours. Fans can also collect 16 different OREO Pokémon photocard with every purchase of the multipack.

In a bid to bring the world of Pokémon to life, some of the OREO Pokémon cookies will be harder for collectors to find than others with the Mew cookie being the hardest to find. Lucky fans who find the Mew cookie will have a chance to win prizes such as an OREO Pokémon metal coin set and two-dimensional lamp.

“We are incredibly excited to announce the release of the blockbuster OREO Pokémon cookie collection, bringing together the adventurous world of Pokémon with the playful experience of OREO,” said Vikram Chandratrey, marketing head, OREO SEA and Indonesia, Mondelēz International.

“Moreover, we are ready to surprise the fans with a new Pikachu-inspired flavors and many special gifts with OREO Pokémon images,” he added.

The beloved Pokémon mascot Pikachu also has a special chocolate banana flavour with a golden yellow cookie inspired by its bright yellow design.

As part of the launch, OREO will be hosting an event at VivoCity Singapore from 18 to 24 March to showcase the collection to the public.

There will also be opportunities to win collectibles such as OREO Pokémon plates and glasses with a cookie holder.

OREO has consistently created special edition cookies that have made consumers flock to the stores to get a hold of. Last year, it teamed up with South Korean mega girl group BLACKPINK for a ground-breaking OREO x BLACKPINK collaboration.

Fans of the iconic OREO sandwich cookie and fans of BLACKPINK (BLINKs) enjoyed bespoke products and a slate of activities and engagements across platforms in Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and South Korea in 2023.
