With several outstanding campaigns, OMD blitzed the competition and took home the gold award in the category of Media Agency of the Year, and the silver award in the category of Integrated Marketing Agency of the Year at this year’s Agency of the Year awards.

In a media ecosystem that continues to grow and evolve, OMD ensures that it delivers its best work by turning empathy into action to make better decisions for their clients.

In 2019, the agency launched OMD Design, a working process developed on design thinking principles where speed- and empathy-based consumer insights sit at the heart of all their work.

The agency’s ethos is built on a platform that ideas are universal, but expressions are cultural, and this approach has led to the success of many campaigns in the past year. Although the second half of 2019 was challenging, OMD maintained momentum with multiple new business wins such as Estee Lauder Companies, Dairy Farm, and Nestlé.

At the same time, OMD's performance marketing unit OMG Performance also won gold in the Best Performance-Based Agency of the Year and Search Agency of the Year categories, and silver in the Programmatic Agency of the Year category.

This recognition comes off the back of recent news from the latest "Hong Kong 2019 Billings Rankings & Market Shares Report" from COMvergence, in which OMD was ranked as the top media agency in Hong Kong, upholding its leading position in the city's competitive creative industry.

"In 2019, we future-proofed our business. Having expanded our services and talents' expertise, we managed to drive more integrated solutions and better decisions faster for our clients," said Gary Wong, managing director of OMD Hong Kong.

"We are honored to receive the awards in both our media and digital marketing solutions and want to thank our clients, media partners, and OMDers for their efforts," he added.
