Ogilvy Indonesia has appointed Satish Ramanathan (pictured) as managing director to further strengthen its leadership team. Praditya Roy previously helmed the position of managing director.
Ramanathan will be responsible to drive Ogilvy’s philosophy of “inspiring brands and people to impact the world”. Backed by the collection of culture-changing, value-driving ideas, he will be strengthening the relationship foundations of Ogilvy’s brands as well as steer the momentum of Ogilvy’s digital experience vertical.
With over two decades of experience, Ramanathan joins Ogilvy after a long stint at MullenLowe Lintas Group, India, where he played multiple roles across India and Singapore and was leading their horizontal growth offerings including consulting, design, content and creative technology verticals as executive director.
A believer in strategic creative solutions for growth, Ramanathan comes with an integrated services background having driven integration for some of India’s brands. Ramanathan said that with a deep and strong client relationship that are almost as old as the agency itself, a market with a strong culture, identity and uniquely structured and a leadership role in an organisation like Ogilvy and network like WPP - everything about the role was too exciting to not take it up.
“I look forward to playing my part with the team in raising the bar and creating a stronger position for the agency and the brands we partner,” he added. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out for additional information.
Ramanathan reinforces the agency’s strength of growing client’s business through strategic brand building, said Sieg Penaverde, group CEO Ogilvy Indonesia. “We will continue to be navigators of opportunities for our clients and Ramanathan's experience and passion for integrated brand solutions will be of great value for the agency and the clients we partner.”
Ramanathan will be reporting to Penaverde.
On a leadership front, Ogilvy recently appointed Krishnan Menon as its new president of experience for Ogilvy in Asia. He will work closely with Genevieve Tan, general manager of Ogilvy’s marketing technology arm Verticurl in APAC, to drive Ogilvy’s ambitious experience growth agenda in 2023 and beyond.
In his new role, Menon is tasked to bring together Ogilvy’s capabilities across customer engagement, commerce, CRM and loyalty, new realities and digital innovation into a cohesive, end-to-end experience offering.
