NP Digital bolsters APAC presence with senior hires in HK and MY

U.S.-based digital marketing agency NP Digital has bolstered its APAC presence with senior hires in Hong Kong and Malaysia, including naming Gary Cheung (pictured right) as general manager for Hong Kong and Taiwan.  

Meanwhile, Melissa Cheng (pictured left) is appointed as country manager for Malaysia. Both of them will report to Dan Kalinski, managing director, APAC, NP Digital.  

The appointments aim to strengthen NP Digital’s position as one of the fastest-growing performance marketing agencies in the industry, with its full-funnel expertise, from SEO and data analytics to programmatic offerings.  

Within their new positions, Cheung and Cheng will lead the expansion of NP Digital in their respective countries and will collaborate closely with NP Digital’s APAC team which includes recent hires Manuel Denoual, general manager of NP Digital Singapore and Kris Casey, who joined the APAC team as the senior SEO lead. 

Cheung brings more than 15 years of performance marketing agency experience in APAC's key growth sectors to NP Digital, with previous roles at Publicis Media, SearchGuru, and iProspect. He is experienced in digital performance marketing and has in-depth knowledge of Asia’s marketing landscape.  

On the other hand, Cheng brings extensive paid media expertise from her roles at ADA, AdColony, and Yahoo. Her data analytics background adds value to NP Digital's data-driven APAC clients, according to the release.

With the digital economy in APAC continuing to experience exponential growth and forecasted to reach US$1 trillion by 2030, NP Digital remains steadfast in the expansion of its regional presence, with the recent setup of its regional office in Hong Kong.  

The agency’s expansion into Hong Kong was simply down to market demand, as the city was home to many multinational brands, making it a centre of gravity for advertisers and marketers, said Gary Cheung.
