Nestlé Indonesia's Guy Kellaway takes on new marketing role within firm

Guy Kellaway, communications director of Nestlé Indonesia, is taking on a new role as head of marketing excellence – zone AOA.

Kellaway, in his communication role, is responsible for brand building, digital transformation, media, insights and capability to drive business results. Prior to his current position, he has spent 25 years with Nestlé across Australasia, Europe and Africa in sales, marketing and HR roles.

In a LinkedIn post Kellaway thanked his team, colleague and bosses who “made it possible to celebrate wins, appreciate milestones, and learn from mistakes together”.

He added, “Indonesia has been a part of my life for many years. The country of plenty in every way and will be forever in my heart.“

Meanwhile, Nestlé Indonesia’s Bear Brand recently launched its latest full-CG commercial, a visually stunning collaboration between Ogilvy + Hogarth, Nayfosindo Production, and Juice full-service visual effects studio.

The ad, directed by Eric Will, one of Juice’s in-house creative talents, features the brand’s iconic dragon navigating an erupting volcano filled with molten lava, smoke, and its signature milk all created in CG. Adding star power, Indonesian actor Nicholas Saputra lent his voice and presence, enhancing the ad's authenticity.

Meanwhile, Nestlé Zone AOA recently emerged as the “eCommerce Brand of the Year” at MARKETING-INTERACTIVE’s seventh annual Asia eCommerce Awards. The company's impressive haul of four gold and one silver award solidified its victory, dethroning last year's winner, A.S. Watson Group.

Nestlé's success was fueled by their outstanding "Nestlé x Lazada Regional Super Brand Day 2024 - Generations Of Love" campaign for Wyeth Nutrition, which garnered wins in categories such as "Best eCommerce Campaign for Content Marketing," "Mobile," "Social Commerce," and "Social Media."

Other strong contenders for the coveted Brand of the Year title included Singtel, Cathay Pacific, A.S. Watson Group (HK), and DBS HK, demonstrating the fierce competition in this year's awards.
