Public Hygiene Council under NEA calls for PR pitch

The National Environment Agency (NEA) Singapore is on the hunt for a public relations agency. According to the tender document seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, the appointment will be for a year and will tentatively commence on August 2022. The appointed agency will provide services in media relations counsel and support, media management, media tracking and reporting, as well as editorial services such as drafting speeches, opinion pieces and forum replies.
Agencies are required to propose a team which includes one senior project manager with at least five years of relevant industry experience, as well as one project manager and one project member with at least three years and one year of relevant industry experience respectively. The senior project manager will also be required to be present in all key meetings. Interested agencies will need to submit a proposal for a one-year PR strategy, including PR goals and objectives, key messages, tactics and KPIs, among others.
The chosen agency will need to provide ongoing media relations counsel and support with strategic PR counsel and strategy, one year content calendar with quarterly PR plans, and key public outreach activities and activations . It will also need to develop and execute media relations plan for the estimated quarterly held media events and the agency must also be capable of hosting online media events via teleconferencing platform.
The tender closes on 7 July, and agencies will be evaluated based on their proposed price and the quality of their proposals.
In 2020, NEA reappointed Metia Group as its social media agency following a pitch first called in January 2020. The pitching process saw 22 different agencies compete for the social media tender. Metia Group will continue to support NEA's social media strategy and channels, as well as grow its audience and boost engagement across social media channels. The appointment is for a period of 12 months, with an option to be extended for three more years.Separately, NEA was among the top 10 government ministries and agencies for the highest number of interactions on social media last year. It was also the top content publisher on social media, with 22,167 pieces of content posted last year.
