Nan Fung Group and agnès b. FLEURISTE have partnered up to launch a pop-up exhibition that combines fresh flowers with mechanical blossoms, aiming to promote sustainability and showcase the harmonious coexistence of technology and nature.

In a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Nan Fung Group said agnès b. was chosen due to its timeless fashion design style and commitment to implementing and promoting sustainable development, aligning with Nan Fung's vision of sustainability.

Available until 30 November, the exhibition comes with the theme “Futuristic Garden” and is located in the lobby of Nan Fung Tower. As part of the collaboration, agnès b. has provided recycled clothing and fabrics to craft the petals of the mechanical flowers. Meanwhile, the four-week exhibition is promoted via its own social media and public relations channels.

While the floral art fresh flowers displays are arranged by agnès b. FLEURISTE, ten unique mechanical flowers are produced by the Society of Boys' Centres Hui Chung Sing Memorial School (香港扶幼會許仲繩紀念學校) under the guidance of Hong Kong Polytechnic University and support from Nan Fung.

The exhibition also engaged secondary school students in learning and applying mechanical principles to produce mechanical flowers, fostering their capacity for creative thinking and problem-solving.

“Through a series of workshops, students were able to deepen and solidify their STEAM knowledge by incorporating concepts into their creations, from selecting suitable materials, applying soldering techniques, to crafting with different gears, screws, and 3D-printed accessories,” the company said.

Nan Fung Group has been implementing sustainable practices in its business operations and development projects. Back in August, Nan Fung Group launched "Net Positive Lease", a new tenant engagement initiative that aimed to drive sustainability by collaborating with tenants, their employees and community partners. The goal of "Net Positive Lease" was to create a positive impact on both society and the environment.

On the other hand, agnès b. and The Mills joined hands in December last year to unveil a supersized hanging Christmas tree, sustainability-themed festive decoration and exhibition that sparked green inspirations and encouraged upcycling.
