Mobile Legends characters to feature on Mister Potato packaging in nationwide campaign

Mister Potato, a brand under MAMEE-Double Decker, has inked a deal to be the official snacking partner for the 12th season of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) to deliver the fun and excitement of the mobile game to its consumers.
Through the partnership, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) characters, Beatrix the Marksman, Lancelot the Assassin and Martis the Fighter, will be featured on the packaging of Mister Potato’s products under the ‘Alami Rasa Legendary’ theme.

“[This partnership] allows our brand to tap into a new captive and engaged audience and gain brand visibility in a competitive market through unique marketing campaigns,” said How Yuan Yi, chief marketing officer of MAMEE-Double Decker.
“The e-sports industry has been rapidly growing over the years and this collaboration with the gaming world allows us to reach out to a different audience and the younger demographic while bringing something new and exciting to our existing consumers,” he added.
The partnership also includes two new two limited-edition flavours. The first of which is a spicy and sweet savoury squid flavour for the brand’s crinkle cut chips called Mister Potato Syok Wave Hot Chilli Squid and a fragrant Mister Potato Sour Cream Onion flavour.
As the MPL MY tournament is set to run every Friday to Sunday from of 18 August to 8 October 2023 at Dewan Sri Putra, Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur, participants will be able to win MLBB skins, the in-game currency Diamonds. They will also be able to win limited-edition Mister Potato x MPL MY S12 merchandise at the Mister Potato booth at the event.
Merchandise available for participants include t-shirts, sports water bottles, pop sockets and bags with the purchase of Mister Potato products.
MLBB fans will also stand a chance to win prizes when they purchase any Mister Potato product at participating retailers such as major supermarkets, hypermarkets, mini-markets, e-commerce, petrol marts and convenience stores nationwide.
Last year, Mister Potato, brought on board footballer Neymar Jr. as its regional brand ambassador. The appointment was made known on the brand's social media channels earlier this month. It covers Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, South Asia countries, Middle East countries and Oceania countries.
