McDonald's Malaysia has released eight different pieces of dolls from the latest UglyDolls movie in its Happy Meal set. Among the list of toys include Ox's Party Shop, Wage's Bakery, Ice-Bat's Ice Rink and Ugly Bat's Tea Shop. In a statement to A+M, marketing director Eugene Lee it always has strong tie-ups with popular movie titles, especially those that appeal to children. "We usually have two to three big tie-ups every year, and this year one of them happened to be UglyDolls. It's something that we do annually and usually make a big deal out of it with our customers," Lee said. He added that the Happy Meal set will only be advertised through digital channels. The fast food chain recently announced that it is targeting RM3 billion sales in 2019 and plans to invest RM1.4 billion by 2025. It also aims to increase its footprint to 450 restaurants nationwide and create 10,000 additional jobs by 2025. The company currently has 278 restaurants and more than 14,000 employees nationwide. Meanwhile, it also caught the attention of consumers with its latest OOH campaign celebrating famous Malaysian sights and sounds with visuals unique to each location, constructed using McDonald's food items. The different places include PETRONAS Towers, Sunway Pyramid, the Penang Bridge, the turtle nestings in Terengganu and Batu Caves.
