Max, a streaming platform from Warner Bros, unveiled a range of out-of-home activations complemented by marketing efforts across Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. This aims to celebrate the launch of the third season of HBO Original series The White Lotus, which debuted on 17 February, with new episodes every Monday on Max.

On 14 February, the premiere began with a green carpet at the ICONSIAM River Park in Bangkok, Thailand, incorporating elements from the new season of The White Lotus. Bringing the series to life right in the heart of Bangkok, the immersive atmosphere allowed guests to feel and be part of The White Lotus experience.

During the event, the cast of The White Lotus including Lalisa Manobal, joined by executive producers David Bernad and Mike White, arrived by boat through the Chao Phraya River and graced the green carpet while greeting fans and guests.

Fans were also treated to special appearances by regional celebrities such as Ananda Everingham from the HBO Asia Originals trilogy Khun Pan, Ann Thongprasom, Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree and Taew Natapohn Tameeruk from Thailand, Kylie Verzosa, Maine Mendoza and Solenn Heussaff from the Philippines as well as Vanesha Prescilla from Indonesia. Content creators across the region were also invited to the premiere, including Aon Somrutai, Nicole Kittivat, Tia Taveepanichpan, Son Yuke Songpaisan.

The experience also included an exclusive screening of The White Lotus Season three episode one at ICON Cineconic and was capped off by a glitzy after-party at the Four Seasons Bangkok, with performances throughout the evening featuring a segment by Thai drag queen Pangina Heals, as well as an enthralling fire show and fireworks display.

While in Indonesia and the Philippines, influencers and community groups gathered for fan watch parties in multiple cities, where as themed events in Taiwan and Hong Kong were held with influencers, celebrities and fans, along with OOH installations.

OOH installations in Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand were also activated, from a concierge-inspired pop-up to a full takeover of the passage through MRT Sukhumkit inspired by The White Lotus’ hotel rooms in Thailand, as well as billboard takeovers at major train stations and streets in various markets. The installations created unique photo moments and enabled fans to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of The White Lotus Season three, while driving conversations around the series.

In Thailand, commuters passing through MRT Sukhumvit and selected BTS Stations are greeted with an extensive OOH installation until 31 March. A concierge-inspired pop-up was also previously installed at ICONSIAM.

In the Philippines, fans in Manila, Cebu, and Davao, as well as those in Indonesia's Jakarta and Surabaya, were treated to special watch parties. During the premiere week of The White Lotus, billboards were prominently displayed in Manila and Jakarta.
