Mars United Commerce has appointed Kelly Wearmouth as managing director for Australia and New Zealand, as the company continues its expansion following its integration into Publicis Groupe last year.
Wearmouth, a seasoned commerce and advertising leader, brings 18 years of experience across Unilever, Microsoft and Telefonica. She spent the past decade at Amazon in global, US, UK and ANZ roles, where she led the company’s first global advertising agreement and launched its first worldwide ad campaign. Most recently, as general manager of Amazon Ads ANZ, she built a $100 million-plus business spanning all Amazon advertising products, including Twitch.
Her appointment comes as Mars United Commerce, formerly The Mars Agency, continues its transformation into a full-service connected commerce partner. In her new role, Wearmouth will oversee regional strategy, growth and service expansion, working with clients such as Woolworths, Mars Inc, Nestlé and the Australian Open.
Darren Keen, CEO of International Markets at Mars United Commerce, said Wearmouth’s expertise makes her the ideal leader for the company’s next phase.
“Kelly joins us at a pivotal stage in our evolution. Her leadership will be instrumental in helping our clients navigate an increasingly dynamic commerce landscape.”
Wearmouth said she is excited to join the team at a time of transformation.
“With our strong foundation in ANZ and the ongoing integration with Publicis Groupe, there’s an unrivalled opportunity to drive innovation and growth for our clients.”
Mars United Commerce, with a 60-strong team across Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland, continues to expand its offering, leveraging proprietary technology like the Marilyn platform to optimise commerce marketing performance.
