Marketing veteran opens Virtus Asia Consulting to serve APAC region

Marketing and communications veteran Jan Harling (pictured) has branched out to open his own consultancy firm, Virtus Asia Consulting, as confirmed by Harling to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE. The consultancy offers strategic marketing consultation as well as media mastery to provide manage the demands of the APAC region.
"During my many years working in the communication and marketing sectors across APAC, I realized there was a genuine demand for a strategic partner who could truly grasp the subtleties of the region and be devoted to helping businesses flourish in this ever-evolving environment," said Harling in a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
"I decided to establish Virtus Asia Consulting as a means to channel my expertise and enthusiasm for insights, creativity, strategy, with the aim of offering tailored solutions that yield tangible results for brands. Virtus Asia Consulting represents my dedication to boldness, unwavering excellence, and resilience," he continued.

The goal is to be able to offer services consultation to CMOs as someone who really understands their pain points and thinks like them.
Harling brings to Virtus Asia Consulting a lifetime of experience in marketing and advertising. Before branching out to start his own firm, Harling worked at foodpanda as its director of brand media and performance APAC. He has also held roles such as the global media director of OPPO and as the regional business director at TBWA\Worldwide.
Earlier in his career, Harling also spent time at Huawei as its global media investment director as well as OMD Hong Kong and ZenithOptimedia.

Bringing together his expertise from around the region, Harling will primarily focus on providing services to the APAC region with China, Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong being his key markets.
"Our extensive experience in the APAC region allows us to offer a deep understanding of the nuances, culture, and market dynamics specific to this area. This will be in particularly interesting for companies from Europe who want support to grow in Asia," said Harling.
"The experience from both the agency and the brand side also allows us to have a unique perspective," he said.
Currently, Virtus Asia Consulting has onboarded two clients, namely DD Bricks and DBot Software and continues to work to gain prominence int he region.
