Insurance company Manulife has unveiled a heartfelt social media campaign, "Journey to better SG", inviting Singaporeans and permanent residents to share their inspiring recovery stories from serious illnesses. Through the testimonials, Manulife aims to foster a supportive community and spotlight the courage and perseverance of those on the road to recovery.

Those with experience of serious illnesses can share their stories from the perspective of either a survivor, caregiver, family member or friend of a patient. They can then post their stories on their own Facebook or Instagram accounts, or on Manulife Singapore's Facebook or Instagram ‘Journey to better SG’ social contest post and include a photo and hashtag #JourneyToBetterSG.

The top three most inspiring stories will be awarded with shopping vouchers worth SG$3,000 each, while the following 12 winners will receive vouchers worth SG$300 each. The last 100 winners will receive shopping vouchers worth SG$50 each.

The inspiring stories may also be featured on Manulife Singapore's social media channels. Submissions for the campaign will be open from now until 16 March 2025.

Mark Czajkowski, chief marketing officer at Manulife Singapore said, "Manulife Singapore wants to use 'Journey to better' to start a conversation on health and longevity in Singapore. As a leading global insurer, Manulife wants to support our customers not just in financial health but also physical and mental wellbeing."

"'Journey to better' is a celebration of resilience and the remarkable strength found in community support. By sharing these journeys of recovery, we aim to inspire hope and remind everyone that they are not alone in their battles," he added. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Manulife Singapore for more information.

This campaign comes after Manulife bolstered its leadership across Asia with a slew of appointments in February. Lauren Sulistiawati was named as CEO of Manulife Indonesia as Ryan Charland transitions to Manulife Japan. Meanwhile, Benoit Meslet, CEO of Japan, will become the CEO of Singapore while Kah Siang Khoo, CEO of Singapore, takes on the role to lead emerging markets.

In Singapore, Manulife's CEO of Japan Meslet will become the CEO of Singapore, effective 1 June 2025, pending regulatory approval. Since joining Manulife in 2020, Benoit has led the business to achieve four consecutive years of core earnings growth, double New Business Value since 2022. With over 20 years of leadership experience in Asia’s life insurance industry, he is wellprepared for this new role.
