Mad Hat Asia bolsters comms and influencer expertise with double hire

Boutique creative communications agency Mad Hat Asia has appointed Danielle Chow (pictured right) to lead operations in Singapore as communications director and Krisha Ramos (pictured left) as its communications manager. Together, they bring a wealth of experience in PR, strategic communications, influencer engagement as well as social media and marketing.
Chow will focus on leading business growth in the market, covering a spectrum of key areas including strategy, client acquisition and retention, and team growth. Ramos will be driving the day to day client management, campaign execution, building media and influencer relationships for Singapore and regional clients.
Rengeeta Rendava, founder and managing director of Mad Hat Asia, said that Chow and Ramos will work closely with their Mad Hat colleagues across the region to contribute strong capabilities in PR, content, and digital marketing to its client partner accounts.
Chow brings over 12 years of experience across local and regional clients with expertise in the areas of business management, integrated communications and branding. She was previously deputy head, B2C at PRecious Communications and account manager at AKA Asia. She has also worked with clients across the hospitality and lifestyle sphere including Club Med, Diageo, One Faber Group and Virgin Active.
Meanwhile, Ramos was previously marketing and public relations specialist at Nobreeze Group, where she was responsible for the production of offline, online advertising and communication materials; according to her LinkedIn. Her tasks also included managing photoshoots and video shoots from brand concept to production and post-editing, and creating and analysing social media content across all client brand channels. Ramos has previously worked with brands such as Coach, IKEA, Olivia Burton, Scott Dunn Asia and Tommy Hilfiger.
At the same time, Ebi Bar, Tiong Bahru Bakery and gym Virgin Active have appointed Mad Hat Asia as their agency on retainer. Mad Hat Asia did not specify the length of appointment. The agency will be the communications consultants for these brands which will cover press office and media enquiries, influencer engagement, social media management and issues management.
Separately, adidas appointed Mad Hat Asia to manage PR duties for its casual sport clothing line, adidas Original, in Malaysia last year. The appointment was for six months, with Mad Hat Asia tasked to lead all communication efforts in Malaysia, drive adidas Originals' brand presence, and pull focus on adidas' brand story. At the same time, Viu, an OTT video streaming service, reappointed Mad Hat Asia to lead its communications efforts in Malaysia. The appointment is for 12 months for all PR and communications efforts in Malaysia, including applying its cumulative entertainment and broadcast experience to drive strategic positioning, brand messaging and awareness of locally produced Viu Original content.
