M&C Saatchi has appointed Anish Daryani (pictured right) as chief growth officer for Southeast Asia, effective immediately. He will report to Richard Morewood (pictured left), M&C Saatchi Asia CEO.
In this newly created role, Daryani will drive growth through regional new business, the development of new capabilities for the region, and the expansion into new markets, while continuing to lead M&C Saatchi Indonesia as president director.
According to his LinkedIn, Daryani has been the founder and president director of M&C Saatchi Indonesia since 2018. He had also been the client services director at Lowe Vietnam and VP and head of South India of Leo Burnett.
This role was created as the agency treats the SEA market as its key focus both regionally and globally, as demonstrated by the launch of its SEA hub in 2021, according to Morewood. "Daryani has built a fantastic business in Indonesia over the last five years with a focus on creativity and innovation for clients. I’m excited to see him bring these skills, as well as his entrepreneurial approach, to deliver growth across South East Asia," he added.
On his appointment, Daryani said, “I’m really excited to unlock growth opportunities for our businesses and clients across the region. This is the most exciting time in our industry where innovation, growth, reputation and efficiency are all inter-linked.”
He added that M&C Saatchi Group is poised to build cross-country and cross-disciplinary teams for its clients, making it possible for the company to achieve audacious results for the clients. “With the support of amazing leadership and talent across the region, we’re ushering in an era of hypergrowth in South East Asia,” he said.

Back in April, M&C Saatchi Kuala Lampur was appointed by Toyota as its creative agency for its Vios line, spanning ATL, BTL, digital and experiential. The brand’s ‘Defy expectations’ campaign kicked off on 20 March 2023 with a media launch followed by film, print, digital and OOH presence. The campaign seeks to target the psyche of those wanting to defy norms, labels and stereotypes with a car that reflects the same.
Last November, M&C Saatchi Performance has appointed Melissa Yik as country director Singapore and Roshat Adnani as managing partner APAC. These promotions come off the back of M&C Saatchi Performance’s significant growth with recent new business wins including Asana, ASICS, Julo, Noice and Jobstreet. These positions are newly-established roles.
