Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA) has appointed Wild Advertising and Marketing to handle social duties, beating out nine other agencies including ADNA, Construct Digital, formul8, Hashmeta, iClick Media, and Ninemer Communications. The appointment is for 12 months with the option to extend for another year.
Lee Kai Xin, head, strategic planning at Wild Advertising and Marketing, told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that the team came in with strong credentials and a proven track record in managing an active digital presence for several government clients.
"The work that LTA does is very much integral to our everyday lives, hence it is important to continually educate netizens to help them better understand LTA’s work. Our proposal demonstrated that we understood that as well as the challenges faced and presented impactful creative ideas that are aimed at advancing LTA’s online engagement efforts," Lee explained.
The Gebiz tender previously stated that the job scope covers strategic social media consultancy services, content development and production, and social media influencer and content publisher engagement.
The agency is expected to monitor and review the performance of content on LTA's social media campaigns; plan, develop, and implement a social media engagement strategy; identify key social media trends; and archive all social media posts created by the agency. The agency is also responsible for conceptualising and producing creative, relevant, and engaging multimedia content for social media platforms.
LTA currently has approximately 363,000 followers on Facebook, 319,190 on Twitter, and 49,042 on Instagram. It also has about 13,100 and 21,900 subscribers on its YouTube and Telegram channels respectively.
