English football club Liverpool FC (LFC) has opened its first standalone retail store in Pondok Indah Mall 2, Indonesia, as it looks to reportedly grow its international retail presence in key markets across the continent.
As part of its official opening, former Reds star Patrik Berger and presenter and soccer commentator Valentino Jebreeet Simanjuntak came down to visit the store for a special appearance.
The store features outfits such as the latest Retro Collection, the new 2024-25 Nike home kit, training and lifestyle range, as well as in-store prints, it said in social media posts.

Prior to its grand opening, Liverpool FC reportedly signed a new retail agreement in Indonesia earlier this year in May to strengthen its presence in Asia according to Inside Retail. This reportedly includes distribution rights for online shopping when it comes to LFC’s official items and the first brick-and-mortar LFC store.
This comes shortly after Premier League stars such as Manchester United’s Casemiro and Liverpool’s Diogo Jota collaborated with Singaporean broadcast partner, StarHub for a “Boot Out Piracy” campaign.
Done in collaboration with its Singaporean broadcast partner, StarHub, the “Boot Out Piracy” campaign aims to raise awareness among football fans of the risks and detrimental effects of streaming illegal content.
In a series of videos featuring Premier League players, the campaign highlights the dangers of accessing Premier League content through unofficial websites or streaming devices.
The region has also been recruiting football players lately to front their initiatives and branding. Over in Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines and Manchester United recently inked a multi-year partnership which will see the airline become the club’s official commercial airline. The partnership was announced by Malaysia Airlines’ group managing director of Malaysia Aviation Group, Izham Ismail, at an industry trade fair in Kuala Lumpur earlier this year.
To celebrate the announcement, former Manchester United defenders Patrice Evra and Wes Brown flew to Kuala Lumpur to attend the event, to share their experiences of travelling the world as both players and ambassadors for the club.
