Malaysian YouTuber Lim Shang Jin has apologised for harassing Serene Claire, former Miss Universe Malaysia 2020 runner-up whose real name is Serene Chai. A few days ago, Chai revealed on Instagram that she was harassed by an acquaintance. While she didn't reveal his full name, Chai listed him as a "famous Chinese Youtuber LxJ".

She explained on Instagram that the acquaintance seemed rather drunk when they bumped into each other at a party. He then asked for her number before kissing her on the cheek and requesting a selfie. The acquaintance also asked if she wanted to head over to his private house and touched Chai. Subsequently, the acquaintance told Chai not to worry because it was only two seconds and nobody would know or would have seen it.

Chai, however, was shocked and yelled at him. "I cried, I was so disgusted, I felt so violated. How could he do this to me?" she added. Chai also said that the acquaintance never apologised and his friends advised her to avoid him in future.

Just yesterday, Lim issued an apology to Chai on Instagram, saying that he is extremely sorry for hurting her with his actions and admitted his wrongdoing. Lim said he is also aware that he is to be solely responsible for his actions and shouldn't blame it on the alcohol. Neither should he blame it on his friends who were drinking with him at the time of the incident.

He also promised to repent and change. To restore everyone's trust in him, Lim promised not to drink in public moving forward. Lim has previously made mentions of brand names including Neiya Underwear, Fantasy DDT, Magnum 4D, Fanda Beauty and Transitions Lenses on his Instagram. A+M has reached out to the brands for comment on whether they are still working with him.

Lim currently has 362k followers on Instagram, 360k followers on Facebook, and 712k subscribers on YouTube.
