Korean home appliance firm SK Magic names MY media partner

SK Magic Malaysia has appointed MediaCom to lead the development of strategic media planning and buying encompassing digital as well as traditional media, following a multi-agency pitch process.

SK Magic was founded in 1985 and according to the company, was the first business in South Korea to produce gas ovens. It currently exports to 60 countries including Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, US, Australia, New Zealand and Africa, among others. The company expanded into Malaysia in 2018 and is part of South Korean conglomerate SK Group, which also owns SK Telecom, SK Gas and SK Chemicals. A+M has reached out for additional information.

MD of SK Magic Malaysia, Bruce Yu, said as a brand newly anchored in Malaysia, it is very honoured to be working with MediaCom in order to grow consistently with its product innovation and marketing trend. "We hope with this partnership, we may achieve greater result," Yu said.

Meanwhile, MediaCom Malaysia's MD, Saurabh Chandrashekhar, said it is a privilege to partner with SK Magic in crafting and executing ambitious initiatives that will drive growth in this very exciting and competitive product category.
