Kimberly-Clark Malaysia names new marketing director

Kimberly-Clark Malaysia has named Martina Jezdikova (pictured) its new marketing director, replacing Nitish Gupta who was promoted to the role of Asia Pacific sector leader for adult and feminine care in July.According to Jezdikova's LinkedIn, she was based in Bahrain for more than four years before relocating to Malaysia in August this year. During her time in Bahrain, Jezdikova helmed the roles of Kimberly-Clark's marketing director, Middle East and North Africa and marketing director, Gulf Cooperation Council. She has been with Kimberly-Clark for more than 15 years, starting off as brand activation manager in 2005 before working her way up the ranks. Kimberly-Clark declined to comment on A+M's queries.For the second quarter of 2019, the company posted US$4.6 billion in net sales which was even with a year ago, with organic sales increasing by 5%. Organic sales rose % in developing and emerging markets and 1% in developed markets.CEO Mike Hsu said the company generated US$90 million of cost savings and returned US$520 million to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases. According to him, Kimberly-Clark is raising its top and bottom-line outlook, reflecting strong execution and an improving commodity environment."We're also increasing our growth investments behind our brands and in capabilities that will position us for longer-term success. We continue to be optimistic about our opportunities to deliver balanced and sustainable growth and create shareholder value through execution of K-C Strategy 2022," Hsu added.
