Apple owned audio products manufacturer Beats By Dre has partnered with Kim Kardashian to launch a special Beats Fit Pro Collection. The limited-edition nude hued earbuds are available in three neutral shades including “Moon”, “Dune” and “Earth”. In an interview with Kardashian by Beats, the American television personality and entrepreneur said that she was a personal fan of Beats By Dre and particularly favoured the Beats Fit Pro earbuds.

She explained that the creative idea of initiating neutral tones in Beats Fit Pro earbuds came about when she observed that she had never seen any headphones in neutral colours and thought that since earbuds are an everyday product, she wanted them to be able to blend in with any outfit.

“I just want people to understand that this is also a fashion accessory that’s reusable and user-friendly. It doesn’t have to be anything loud, it can just blend in with what you’re wearing,” said the American socialite.

Kardashian had eventually commissioned an artist to paint the earbuds and immediately brought the creative concept and colour palette samples to Beats to which it had “understood the vision right away”, she said.

Kardashian said: “There’s nothing better and more gratifying than seeing a final product and it being exactly what you envisioned.”

The Beats x Kim K Beats Fit Pro collection will launch on Apple’s website for US$199.99 starting on 16 August in selected countries including Canada, China, Japan, UK and US. On August 17, the collection will also be accessible in a limited supply at a few Apple Stores and third-party retailers such as Amazon.

Beats Fit Pro made its debut in November last year in the US and early this year, in other markets. The original Beats Fit Pro earbuds are available in four different colour options including Beats Black, Beats White, Stone Purple, and Sage Grey. The announcement of the product launch was accompanied by a video teaser featuring American rapper Saweetie.
