Kevin Huang (pictured), CEO of Birdie has relinquished his role after over two years with the company. Huang was appointed head of birdie in March 2019, where he took on responsibilities of overall development and growth of the business.

He has been leading Birdie as a digital-only mobile operator targeting Millennials, with an emphasis on innovative products and community features, such as the embedded Travel Day Pass, Data P2P, “Birdie Farm” Mobile Game, Member-Get-Member Rewards Programme, Birdie Friday, and more.

Huang is a leader in the digital ad industry and also a founding board member of the Hong Kong chapter of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), according to his LinkedIn. Before joining Birdie, he was the co-founder and chief executive officer of Pixels, a leading digital advertising technology company headquartered in Hong Kong, a position he held for 17 years. He has also served in various roles at digital companies such as DoubleClick and 247 Media Asia.

Huang said, “As I departed my role at Birdie, a big thank you to everyone who supported me and the Birdies in our dream to go from a challenger mobile operator to becoming a force to be reckoned with. We may have been small but we were sure feisty and hungry to win.”

When asked by MARKETING on his next move, Huang declined to comment. MARKETING has reached out to Birdie for a comment. Meanwhile, listen to Huang’s view on the advertising landscape on our MARKETING CONNECTED channel on Spotify.
