Healthcare company Johnson & Johnson has named Annie Yam as its new marketing lead for Vision Care in Southeast-Asia, Australia and New Zealand, India and Taiwan, according to a LinkedIn post by Yam.
In her new role, Yam will be charged with leading the marketing strategy for her different markets and helping to build brand equity for the company’s household contact lens brand, Acuvue.
"ACUVUE is a brand that changed my life when I was 19. [I'm] looking forward to helping more consumers see better, connect better, and live better in my expanded scope," said Yam in her LinkedIn post.

This is currently a newly created role said Yam when MARKETING-INTERACTIVE reached out.
“My mission in this role is to help more consumers who have vision needs to experience the power of contact lenses”.
Prior to this, Yam served as the company’s marketing lead for SEA for just over a year. Before she joined Johnson & Johnson, she helmed the role of brand director for SK-II at Proctor and Gamble. Yam served in the role for close to 10 years. She headed the global experience design team for the brand and played a significant role in crafting its omni-channel consumer experience.
At her time at Proctor and Gamble, she also led end-to-end design-delivery from online to in-store for a multitude of Duty-Free channels as the brand manager while she headed marketing for SK-II’s global travel retail department.
Her appointment follows Venaig Solinhac's appointment as vice president, essential health, of APAC at Johnson and Johnson Consumer Health. Before Johnson and Johnson Consumer Health, she was with food and agri-business, Olam, for over two years.
