JobsDB by SEEK's campaign encourages HKers to 'work with purpose'

JobsDB by SEEK has partnered with four management level speakers on a campaign to demonstrate the four SEEK core values and encourage job seekers to find their career’s passion and purpose.

This comes as JobsDB understands deeply job seekers’ need and support every Hong Kong people to find the right career path, especially after when its survey found 94% of respondents think the working pressure has not reduced after the pandemic. As such, JobsDB leverages technology to create a clever solution for job seekers, to help connect global talents and local companies with passion and purpose, and to help them "seek better".

Also known as "Work in Hong Kong", the ongoing campaign kicks off with four management level speakers sharing stories to encourage job seekers, including Bill Lee, managing director of JobsDB Hong Kong, Klook Hong Kong & Macau's general manager Kenny Sham, Kimberly-Clark Hong Kong's general manager Stella Chun and PayMe's CMO Jaslin Goh. The four representatives hope to highlight the message of the campaign - "Work with a purpose instead of working for a living". 

In the first episode, Lee, who has worked in Hong Kong for nearly a decade, believes that work gives life an added sense of purpose. In the second episode, Sham shares insights in terms of achieving results together as a team. He shared that the relationship between superiors and subordinates is not just about work, building trust and accompanying each other can motivate colleagues to put more effort into their work and make them happier at work.

Meanwhile, Chun believes her job satisfaction is being able to help her colleagues find themselves and deliver their unlimited potential, achieving personal fulfillment. Finally, Goh, who came from Singapore to Hong Kong, believes HongKongers have a willingness to learn and work hard as well as a visionary outlook on the future. She said local employees should work together to create innovative products and achieve ideal results.

A check by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE saw on YouTube that the first video garnered 310K views eight days after launch. Other than YouTube, this campaign also collaborates with HK01 on an interview video production to engage with a wider audience.

For the second phase of the campaign, a new incentive programme "SmartReward Programme" will be launched to reward job seekers and referrers for successful employment offers.
