Instagram will allow people in US to directly shop via posts by their favourite brands, starting next week.As brand posts show up with shopping tools enabled, followers will be able to tap on the image to see a pop-up with product description or name on display, along with a price. Additional taps on individual items could then get followers into dedicated pages to learn more without leaving Instagram. The followers can also purchase the product directly on the page. This new model will provide retailers and marketers with a host of new ways to turn views into conversions, as it essentially turns your Instagram page into an e-shop.Watch the video below to see how this will work:https://vimeo.com/189697603Twenty US-based retail brands will test the new feature next week, including Kate Spade New York, JackThreads, Warby Parker, Abercrombie & Fitch, BaubleBar, Chubbies, Coach, Hollister, J.Crew, , Levi’s Brand, Lulus, Macy’s, Michael Kors, MVMT Watches, Target, Tory Burch and Shopbop.Instagram is expected to finalise and roll out the service in globally, depending on feedback and experiences from these brands.Â
