Shopping malls in Hong Kong offer plenty of Chinese New Year gifts and promotions during the festive season. However, during the pandemic, some industry players have decided to offer a better shopping experience to protect customers, while some of them have gone further to help the underprivileged in the city. This year, Hysan Development (Hysan) has rolled out a CNY online platform, O2O festive marketing plans, a collaboration with Banyan Services Association to support society.
In response to the pandemic, Hysan has worked with merchants and restaurants in the Lee Gardens area to present the Lee Gardens CNY online platform. The platform allows customers to enjoy shopping at home and door-to-door delivery, while they can also arrange the gifts to be delivered to their friends and family via the e-Shop.
Hysan has also rolled out a lucky draw for customers, allowing them to snap up electronic red packets and enjoy an interactive reward experience by redeeming the gifts directly at the merchants or via the mobile redemption machines across the malls.
Apart from engaging customers, Hysan has also donated the entire budget that was earmarked for designing and manufacturing red packets to Banyan Services Association, an organisation serving the elderly living alone and promoting the cultivation of friendship and companionship among them. Aimed at supporting the association's diverse services for the elderly, the donation also supports the Residential Care Elderly Home programme and the sustainable Aquaponics System project, which encourages the elderly to enjoy planting for fun and to maintain their mental health.
