HSBC Malaysia and YTL Communications have appointed Zeno Group Malaysia to manage integrated communications. Zeno’s remit for HSBC includes a social strategy that complements its new brand promise, "Opening Up a World of Opportunity." Meanwhile for, YTL Communications, Zeno is developing PR programmes to raise the profile of its telecommunications brand, YES, in supporting the nation’s agenda of a 5G network and infrastructure.
According to the agency, the new appointments come on the heels of several recent B2B wins, including its appointment by HID Global and iNTERCiTY. HID Global is said to offer a broad portfolio of physical access solutions for access to secured doors, gates, networks, services, and more. Meanwhile, iNTERCiTY, a homegrown end-to-end data document processing and record management company, has engaged Zeno to provide PR and content support.
Wing K. Lee, CEO of YTL Communications, said Zeno understands the dynamic market landscape and the importance of the company's mission as the catalyst to drive digital infrastructure innovations for the country. "We are happy to be working with the Zeno team, tapping into their communications expertise to tell our story to the stakeholders,” he added.
Zeno Group Malaysia's MD, Amanda Leong, said that as Malaysia gears toward post-pandemic recovery, the agency is honoured to represent progressive brands like HSBC, YES and more, in discovering new opportunities and creating experiences in the new normal for its customers. "We’re excited to leverage our creative, fresh approach in communicating with the intended audiences in a more authentic manner to deliver real business impact," she added.
Leong was promoted to the role of MD in April this year, reporting to Paul Mottram, regional president, Asia Pacific. She currently focuses on Zeno Malaysia’s business growth, operations, and leading an integrated team while continuing to oversee and foster client relationships.
