With its #HelloChange brand position, StarHub is simplifying how customers consume content by offering a no-contract option and removing set-top box rental fees. To promote the new package, and banking on the Game of Thrones hype, the StarHub launched a new commercial with BLKJ to introduce its line-up of entertainment passes. In a statement to Marketing, a StarHub spokesperson said, “The campaign was created to mark the transformation StarHub TV.” She added that the ad will run for approximately three months on digital and social platforms. BLKJ founder and CEO Rowena Bhagchandani added, “This is the biggest revamp of StarHub TV. And the biggest show on earth, as well as in Westeros today, is Game Of Thrones between HBO and StarHub. House Stark and House StarHub was the most natural thing for us to do to get StarHub in pole position #ForTheThrone." With the removal of the outdated inflexible basic groups, the overhauled StarHub Entertainment proposition streamlines over 50 bundles to seven passes – English Entertainment Pass, Movies Pass, Asian Entertainment Pass, Malay Entertainment Pass, Indian Entertainment Pass, Filipino Entertainment Pass and Sports Pass. In addition, customers can switch between the seven passes at any one time using the My Account online portal. “In December 2018, we started our #HelloChange journey with the launch of our new SIM Only mobile plans. Our bold move in the mobile space was overwhelmingly well received by our customers. Building on the voices of what customers want, and in keeping with our brand promise to innovate, today we are excited to revolutionise the way entertainment is presented to our customers,” said Johan Buse, chief of consumer business group, StarHub. “We are pleased to remove clutter, unshackle handcuffs and enhance transparency by slashing the outdated model of basic groups, getting rid of hidden fees and removing set-top box rental charges. Hidden fees are a thing of the past - the price you see is the price you will pay. Over time, we are committed to introducing even more sweeping changes to delight and entertain our customers,” added Buse.
