Hong Kong Technology Venture (HKTV) has clarified that an impersonator WeChat account with the same HKTV logo and trademark has no relationship with the group.

This came after HKTV's announcement of expanding its eCommerce platforms Everuts and HKTVmall into retail markets beyond Hong Kong including Greater Bay Area.

A check by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE saw on WeChat that an account namely "杭州科探電子商務有限公司" claimed to be HKTV’s official account and received the blue tick verification from WeChat on 27 April. The registrant's name is 杭州科探電子商務有限公司 and its IP address locates in Hong Kong. However, HKTV told local media such as Ming Pao that the company was not subsidiary of the group and had no relationship with itself.
