Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) is calling on Marvel fans worldwide to gather and immerse themselves in the upcoming extended Marvel-themed area as part of HKDL's multi-year expansion plan.

Speaking at "D23: The ultimate Disney fan event" in Anaheim, California, Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences, said the project will focus on further expanding the epicentre of the Marvel superheroes at HKDL. It aims to attract global fans to gather at the resort and immerse themselves in the Marvel Universe.

The new project marks the third major addition to the immersive Marvel-themed experience with an extended area in Tomorrowland at HKDL, which will include all-new entertainment, shopping, and dining offerings.

The new attraction will feature Spider-Man Peter Parker, the latest Stark Industries intern, who will host demonstrations of the latest innovations and technologies of the Stark Expo (pictured). While the presence of Spider-Man will draw one of the most formidable villains who wreaks havoc at the scene, he will get to protect his new technology while saving guests caught in the middle of the showdown, according to the release.

According to D’Amaro, the existing Marvel attractions at HKDL, including "Iron Man Experience" and "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!", launched in 2017 and 2019 respectively, are popular among visitors. The resort has also introduced various seasonal offerings such as the Avengers Deployment Vehicle and Marvel-inspired drone shows.

Meanwhile, the Marvel-themed area at HKDL is established as Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, selected Hong Kong as the Asian headquarters for Stark Industries. It has also become the home of the Stark Expo, showcasing the latest high-tech creations of Stark Industries. HKDL will continue to bring more heroic Marvel stories to life through its unique and innovative storytelling, D’Amaro added.
