The Hong Kong government has called for new pitches for the digital media promotion of Brand Hong Kong internationally and in mainland China respectively, which will last for 13 months commencing on 1 July 2024 and expiring on 31 July 2025.
The contractor is required to undertake a digital media promotion including planning, booking and advertisement coordination to promote brand Hong Kong in the Mainland, whereas another contractor is asked to perform the same task in the international markets.
According to the official tender document, the tender submission deadline will be at noon on 23 April 2024. All tenders must be deposited in the tender box before the tender closing time. Late tenders or tenders not deposited in the specified tender box will not be accepted.

Don’t miss: HK hands Brand HK digital media promotion remit to two local agencies
This is not the first time the government has looked to hire digital media agencies to promote Hong Kong. Back in July last year, the Hong Kong government spent close to HK$17m to recruit digital agencies Tango Digital and Founder New Media to help promote “Brand Hong Kong” in Mainland China and internationally.
According to the government gazette published on 28 July 2023, the ISD approved two contracts of HK$8.56m and HK$8.28m respectively, to hire Tango and Founder New Media.
Tango is required to undertake a digital media promotion including planning, booking and advertisement coordination to promote “Brand Hong Kong” in the international markets for a period of 12 months, commencing on 1 July 2023 and expiring on 30 June 2024.
This also comes in line with the government's effort in building the Hong Kong brand through hosting mega events. As laid out in the latest Budget 2024, the government plans to allocate additional funding, totalling HK$1,095 million, to support the Tourism Commission and the HKTB in organising Hong Kong events and activities.
The HKTB will launch a new Hong Kong tourism brand, and continue to target source markets and collaborate with GBA cities to jointly promote multi‑destination tourism.
The Development Bureau (DEVB) will also introduce commercial facilities such as food and beverages, retail and entertainment on a pilot basis at selected suitable harbourfront locations to bring convenience and better experience to visitors.
