Havas names new CEO for Havas Media Network China

Havas has named Kien Lim (pictured) as the new CEO of Havas Media Network China, effective immediately. Based in Shanghai, Lim will report to Karl Wu, chairman and CEO of Havas Greater China, and takes full charge of the business and talent of Havas Media across China.

Lim began his career in advertising from 1994 in Malaysia, then China mainland from 2000. Armed with rich experience in creative and media across agencies at senior positions, he has also run entrepreneurial start-ups, driving integrated marketing communications.

With experience in digital and business transformation, he is looking to bring enormous energy to Havas' core competitiveness and business growth.

Commenting on the appointment, Wu said: “I am thrilled that Lim joins Havas on our thriving TOGETHER journey. Being a multi-talented person, Lim will certainly bring meaningful insights, solutions and energies to level up Havas Media and the long-term beneficial evolvement of the whole industry.”

As the newly appointed CEO of Havas Media Network China, Lim said: "It is a great honour to join Havas Group, the communication giant under Vivendi, the world's entertainment leader. With my cross-border creative and media capabilities, I will continuously work together with my talents and the whole senior leadership team to expand the business boundaries of Havas Media, and promote the iterative upgrade of the mega-communication ecosystem."
